Cohesion Dynamics: Published Ontology v1.0

Cohesion Dynamics — Published Ontology v1.0

Definitions and Symbols Safe for Publication (Aligned With Foundations Paper + Hydrogen Paper Only)

Purpose: This ontology lists only the concepts, symbols, and definitions that are:

  • already justified by the Foundations Paper, or
  • explicitly required by the Hydrogen Paper,
  • and do not reveal unpublished structures (no σ-field, no W-vector, no emergent metric details).

All advanced concepts remain in the Unpublished Ontology, which is not shared publicly.

The goal is to prevent scoop, maintain conceptual clarity, and define a stable set of shared objects for early papers.

1. Allowed Published Ontology (Minimal Set)

This section contains only the safe, defensible primitives.

1.1 Substrate and Configuration Space (From Foundations Paper)

SymbolDescriptionFirst Adopted In
ΣInformational substrate; primitive entity from which configurations arise.Foundations
ΩConfiguration space of all allowable informational states.Foundations
XMicroconfiguration; an element of Ω.Foundations
SMacrostate; coarse-grained equivalence class of microconfigurations.Foundations

1.2 Constraint Structure (From Foundations Paper)

SymbolDescriptionFirst Adopted In
C(x)Local informational constraint acting on region x.Foundations
G = (V,E)Constraint graph: nodes represent regions; edges represent constraints.Foundations

1.3 Mismatch Geometry (From Foundations Paper)

SymbolDescriptionFirst Adopted In
MMismatch functional quantifying consistency cost between configurations.Foundations
M[X,Y]Mismatch distance between microconfigurations X and Y.Foundations
P = (X₀…Xₙ)Admissible update path through Ω.Foundations

1.4 Phase Geometry (From Foundations Paper)

SymbolDescriptionFirst Adopted In
Θ(X)Phase functional; maps configuration to S¹.Foundations
θ(P)Accumulated phase along a path.Foundations

1.5 Coherence Cycles (Required by Hydrogen Paper)

SymbolDescriptionFirst Adopted In
τ(x)Coherence cycle time: duration of one internal constraint update cycle.Hydrogen Paper
τ(H)Hydrogen coherence cycle, derived as τ(H) = ħ / |E₁|Hydrogen Paper

1.6 Propagation Properties (Safe + Required)

SymbolDescriptionFirst Adopted In
cMaximal constraint propagation speed. (Analogue of signal speed.)Foundations
ΔtDuration measured in units of local τ(x).Hydrogen Paper

2. Unpublished Ontology (Internal Use Only)

This section is not to be included in any public document. It is here only to guide internal consistency. These concepts will be introduced in future papers when formally justified.

SymbolDescriptionStatus
σ(x)Coherence bandwidth; governs spatial coordination.Unpublished
W = (W_τ, W_σ, W_θ)Divergence tolerance vector.Unpublished
R_cohCoherence radius; locality scale emerging from τ–σ balance.Unpublished
g_{μν}Emergent metric from τ, σ, and mismatch geometry.Unpublished
Φ, τ∞Potential–τ relations and weak-field structure.Unpublished
ρ_infoInformational density; gravitational source term.Unpublished
Field equations for τ, σScalar-gravity-like dynamics.Unpublished

None of these may appear in the published hydrogen paper or foundations paper until the corresponding formal derivations exist.

3. Published Axioms (Safe Subset)

Only the axioms that appear in the Foundations Paper or are required for the Hydrogen Paper are included here.

AxiomDescriptionAdopted In
1. Configuration Space ΩReality represented as configurations in Ω.Foundations
2. Constraint StructureEvolution = iterative constraint resolution.Foundations
3. Mismatch MetricUpdates have mismatch cost M.Foundations
4. Coherence Cycles (τ)Local updates occur in discrete cycles of duration τ(x).Hydrogen Paper
5. Causal Propagation (c)Constraint information propagates at finite speed c.Foundations
9. Multi-path CompatibilityEvolution corresponds to all mismatch-compatible paths.Foundations
11. Phase from Coherence GeometryComplex phase arises from coherence-cycle geometry.Foundations

Axioms NOT included: 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13 — because they rely on σ, W, or emergent metric structures not yet published.

5. Usage Rules

  1. Published papers may use only the symbols in the Published Ontology table.
  2. Any concept from the Unpublished Ontology must not appear until formally introduced in a paper.
  3. When τ(x) appears, only its minimal definition is allowed: coherence cycle duration for a cohesive region.
  4. σ, W, g_{μν}, field equations, or curvature must not appear until their dedicated papers.

6. Versioning

This is Published Ontology v1.0. When a new paper justifies σ or W or any advanced structure, the Published Ontology will be updated to v1.1, v1.2, etc.
